The holiday season of 2024 brought warmth, purpose, and generosity to Sagana County during the Nilishe Charity Event, an initiative led by Wendy Omanga a respected climate change advocate in partnership with Ubinti.
Nilishe (meaning “feed me” in Swahili) went beyond providing food; it fed hope. Together with community volunteers, Wendy and the Ubinti team distributed meals, sanitary care packs, and clothing to underprivileged girls and families.
The event also included a special mentorship segment where Wendy shared her journey of advocacy, reminding girls that caring for the planet begins with caring for oneself.
“When a girl is nourished, she becomes unstoppable for herself, her family, and her community,” Wendy shared.
Ubinti is proud to have been part of this heartfelt initiative that merged environmental awareness with girl-child empowerment proving that sustainability begins with dignity.
